The Battle of the Breeds is a friendly competition that allows you to prove that your registered horse OR your non-registered horse is the best breed out there.
Each of the first three shows will feature a Battle of the Breeds registered horse winner AND a non-registered horse winner.
Simply mark your entry form to enter the Battle of the Breeds at one of the first three shows (you are only allowed to enter the Battle of the Breeds once) and add your $15.00 fee to your class fees.
You must enter 1 halter type class (classes 1-9) and 3 performance classes (11-35). If you receive a ribbon in the class (ribbons to 6th place) you will receive points for your placement.
1st Place=12 points
2nd Place=10 points
3rd Place=8 points
4th Place=6 points
5th Place=4 points
6th Place=2 points
At the end of the day the points you have earned from all four qualified classes will tallied.
The registered horse with the highest combined points and the non-registered horse with the highest combined points will be named the winner of the Battle of the Breeds for that show in their category.
The registered horse winner and non-registered horse winner from each of the first three shows will be eligible to show back in a Championship Class at the final show of the year. Placement points from that class will be added to the total combined points and an overall Grand Champion Battle of the Breeds horse will be named.
